Now I need to slow down and add detail to the face and hands. The hands need to be adjusted. They are different sizes. It is so great to finally see the sun today. Now the heat will probably come.

- I am a watercolor artist. My paintings are bold, and full of color. Most of my work takes time. The world around me is my inspiration. A camera is in my hand whereever I go. I like a painting to be strong enough in composition to be appealing from across the room, but when viewed up close I my audience should enjoy the details. Watercolor has so many attitudes and possibilities, I am always exploring. Most people comment on how unforgiving watercolor is. If good paper is used it is very forgiving. Being and educator I love to teach classes. I first instruct students on how to control brushes, the flow of paint and of course the water. I teach beginning to advanced students. Many opt to pay a little more to use my supplies solely. This is an excellent way to learn that success depends on the foundation of good materials. This is very cost efficient for beginners also. I always say there is an artist in everyone.
